DO I HAVE TO BOOK A CONSULTATION FIRST?
We perform a consultation at the beginning of every appointment, regardless of whether you are a first-timer, or have been having age-preventative treatments for years. It's important for us look at every individual treatment with fresh eyes, and to understand what your desired outcomes are. Equally, it's important for you to understand the associated risks with treatment and have realistic expectations about what we can achieve.
Consultation-only appointments are perfect for first-timers to ask questions and get a feel for whether our services are the right choice for you and your desired outcomes. You can book a consultation appointment here, and all consultation fees are redeemable on treatments, should you choose to proceed.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING MY APPOINTMENT?
Firstly, we will go through your desired outcomes together and formulate a treatment plan to help you achieve these goals.
Secondly, we will discuss risks, side effects, and before and after care for your treatment.
Next, we'll take a medical history and ask questions about any allergies, medications or medical conditions that may impact your treatment.
Following this we Skype one of our amazing Doctors to receive a prescription for your treatment. The products we use are medical grade and therefore must be prescribed by a Doctor.
After this, Nurse Eleanor will prepare the products, complete another visual assessment of your face and mark up the areas of your face where the product will be used.
Finally, the fun begins - treatment time! Explore our range of services here.
DOES IT HURT?
Each service is different in terms of pain during and after the treatment. We take extra care to ensure you are comfortable throughout your appointment and offer numbing creams, weighted blankets, aromatherapy, and eye pillows during your treatment. Our most common
response from patients who are nervous about pain is "Is that it?!" so often the anticipation is worse than the reality.
WHAT'S THE DOWNTIME FOR TREATMENTS?
Downtime and recovery is dependent on the type of treatment and the individual patient, but you can usually expect swelling to settle within a few days of your volumizing treatment. Conversely, there is minimal recovery time required for wrinkle reduction treatments, anywhere from 1 hour to 24 hours.
As a general rule we suggest clients book their treatments 2 weeks ahead of any major events and follow your pre and post treatment care instructions to assist recovery time.
I'M PREGNANT/BREASTFEEDING. CAN I STILL GET MY TREATMENT?
No. Although there is no evidence to suggest wrinkle-reduction or volumizing treatments are harmful to baby, it is recommended that women who are pregnant or breastfeeding avoid treatment until these journeys have finished. We respect the right for any woman to make their own decisions regarding their own body and their baby, but if you answer ‘yes’ to the pregnancy or breastfeeding question in your pre-treatment medical consent form, we will not perform these treatments.
CAN YOU MAKE ME LOOK LIKE (INSERT YOUR FAVOURITE CELEBRITY HERE)?
The goal of treatment is to make subtle changes to improve the overall aesthetic of your face. We are not trying to change how you look – you are beautiful!
Nurse Eleanor has a keen eye for facial aesthetics and works in collaboration with you to reach your treatment goals. We will never offer or perform treatments that are not suited to the individual.
What treatment may have been right for your friend or favourite celebrity, may not be right for you and this is why the consultation process is so important!
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WRINKLE REDUCTION AND VOLUMIZING TREATMENTS?
Volumizing treatments are made from a different formula than wrinkle reduction, and is most commonly used in the cheeks, lips, chin, and in the lines around the mouth to restore lost volume, add hydration and promote a youthful appearance.
Wrinkle Reduction treatments are used to relax the muscle. This stops creases from being able to form, reducing lines and wrinkles in the skin. These products are usually used in the forehead, lines around the eyes and frown lines, although there are a range of other uses for wrinkle reduction products which you can chat to Nurse Eleanor about to learn more when you book your consultation.
